| Our network: Conversations - The Game | Eyepower - Change the way you see |
We all read books that inspire us and yet find it difficult to share that personal experience, that we find in books, with each other. Each person playing Conversations will get to experience for themselves and each other the awareness that we often read about in new thought books, creating a strong connection in a short amount of time
The game is safe in that each participant is informed that they can share as much as they are comfortable with. The rules also include not interrupting and speaking from “I statements” to ensure the game is safe and fun for everyone.
The outcome is that each person is allowed to speak openly, be really heard and create a genuine connection with others from a heart space. The result will be that we will create a safe place for authentic communication to occur.
Conversations: an inspirational game literally came to me in a dream in November 2001. I went to bed that night asking "What am I meant to be doing in my life?" and actually got an answer. It took another four years of planning, reviews and courage to physically create the first edition of the game.
Since then, people from around the globe have also been drawn to be involved in the process of sharing Conversations worldwide. Indeed each person involved in the organization of Conversations has connected like a real family.
I see myself as only the custodian of the game and that it ultimately was dreamt in order for all of us to remember who we are. When I am asked who did I create this game for, my response always starts for me and my own need to develop my own level of communication. I also believe that it helps families really be families again and corporations be more socially aware of the people under their care.
Conversations will also support groups that really currently need communication at the moment including transforming relationships in aged care facilities, schools and as a support base for areas such as suicide prevention, family breakdowns and general self-acceptance.
When I asked years later about how does the game support marriages just after my separation of 25 years, I was told clearly by spirit that the game does bring out the best in relationships and is not about rescuing relationships that are over. It also made me aware that all our relationships with every person on this planet are important.
I am extremely grateful for being shown again how to communicate. My wish is that every person has the opportunity to experience the game for themselves and with each other, and to be the best person you can be.
Indeed, it is a true gift to humanity.
